Terms & conditions
These terms apply to every rental from At Home Recovery (Jack Daniels, trading as At Home Recovery), an Auckland sole trader business. By booking, you agree to them.
Bookings and payment
Your booking is confirmed once it's paid in full. Prices are in NZD. Rental lengths are shown when you book, with longer periods by arrangement. Your rental runs from your drop off date to your pick up date.
Cancelling or changing your booking
- Cancel 48 hours or more before your drop off for a full refund.
- Cancel within 48 hours of drop off and we'll move your booking to new dates once, free, within 3 months. We can't refund it.
- Ending your rental early doesn't give a refund for the unused days.
- Want it for longer? Ask us. If the gear is free, you pay the difference.
- If we have to cancel, for example because the gear is damaged or we can't deliver safely, we'll offer new dates or a full refund.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days.
Delivery, set up and pickup
Bookings need at least 2 days' notice. Delivery and pickup are included within our free delivery area (see the FAQ on our home page). Outside it, we'll confirm a delivery fee with you before drop-off. Set up and pack down for the ice bath or sauna is optional, for a one-off fee of $100. If you don't add it, you set the equipment up and pack it down yourself, following our quick guide. You agree to give us safe access at the agreed times. On pickup day, please have the equipment clean, packed away and left somewhere we can easily get to. We'll text you a reminder the day before.
Safe use
- You'll follow the written and verbal instructions we give you, including the quick guide.
- You won't use the ice bath or sauna alone, and children and vulnerable people will be supervised at all times.
- You won't move, modify or use the equipment in unsafe weather.
- You've read our safety guide and you'll check with your doctor first if you have any health condition that could be affected by heat or cold.
- You use the equipment at your own risk and are responsible for everyone who uses it during your rental.
- No alcohol or drugs before or during an ice bath or sauna session.
Looking after the gear
- Compression boots: wear socks, and don't wear shorts or pants with zips, buckles or studs. Zips can puncture the boots.
- Keep the gear away from sharp objects and use it only as shown in the guide.
Before and after photos
Please take a few photos of the equipment when it's delivered and again before pickup, and keep them until your rental is finished. They protect both of us if there's ever a question about damage or wear. We may ask you to send them through.
Power
The sauna needs a dedicated 10 to 15 amp outlet with RCD protection that is dry and weather-protected. If you're setting it up yourself, only use a suitable outlet. If we're setting it up, we may decline if safe power can't be confirmed.
Cleaning, damage and incidents
Please keep the equipment clean using the products we supply and don't add any chemicals yourself. Tell us straight away about any incident, injury, damage or malfunction. Not following the safety requirements may affect liability cover.
Damage, loss and pickup
- The equipment is your responsibility from drop off until we collect it. You'll pay the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing anything lost, stolen or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. We'll show you the damage and talk it through with you first.
- If the equipment isn't ready or we can't get to it on pickup day and we have to come back, there's a $50 extra trip fee.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
